Barbie fans might get to bring their pink outfits back once again!
Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, the creative minds behind the pop culture phenomenon, Barbie, might be ready for the sequel.
The filmmaker-duo whenever asked about the Barbie world had stated that they would only go back to the franchise if they have a story to tell, with Gerwig noting, “If I find the undertow, then we get it. If I don’t find an undertow, there’s no more.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gerwig and Baumbach have come up with an idea, presenting it to Warner Bros.
The report also suggests that the Barbie director alongside the screen-writer have already began working on the script of Barbie 2.
However, as the Barbie sequel news emerged, the rep on behalf of Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach quickly debunked the claims noting, “There is no legitimacy to this reporting".
On the other hand a representative of Warner Bros also quashed the rumours, informing that The Hollywood Reporter is inaccurate.

It is to be noted that when the first film was released Gerwig did tell People that she wants to go back to ‘Barbie Land’, talking about the film she said,“There’s a tone and a humour and a joy, and obviously the world is so beautiful.”
