Anushka Sharma once revealed that she auditioned for Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots before she made her big debut with Yash Raj Films in 2008.
The mother of one went on to say that director Rajkumar Hirani never saw her audition tape back then and moved forward with Kareena Kapoor for the lead role.
"I had auditioned for a lead role in a film in 2007. And, that film was 3 Idiots. No one knows it, no one watched the audition. You have not watched it, Raju sir has not watched it."
The camera then turns to Raju Hirani who expresses his disbelief on Anushka's confession.
"Anushka auditioned for 3 Idiots? No, no, no. Anushka never auditioned for 3 Idiots," after which the actress showed the director her audition clip.
Anushka Sharma officially collaborated with Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan in PK (2014).
