This Ramazan, comedy-drama series Chupke Chupke has received massive popularity among the audience. For its refreshing fun content and stunning acting performances by the cast, the drama has continued to top the television ratings.
Lead actress Ayeza Khan has been receiving a lot of appreciation and praise for her brilliant performance as Meenu.
However, netizens are divided over Khan's casting in the show, as some of them are criticizing her for playing the character of a 20-year-old, while others seems to be totally in love with her latest avatar.
Much to fans’ surprise, it has been revealed that the Mehar Posh starlet was not the first choice for the role of Maneeha Kifayat Ali in the show.
Reports are making rounds on the internet that drama makers have called actress Sohai Ali Abro as their original choice for Meenu’s character.
The reports further said that the Motorcycle Girl actress had even shot a few scenes for the drama before the shoot was halted due to COVID-19 and lockdowns.
Later, Abro had to withdraw from the show due to personal reasons and the role was given to Khan, who has done fabulous job in the show.
Chupke Chupke is written by Suno Chanda famed writer Saima Akram Chaudhry and directed by Danish Nawaz. The ensemble cast also includes Osman Khalid Butt, Mira Sethi, Asma Abbas, Uza Beg, Arslan Naseer, Aymen Saleem, Ali Safina and Salman Mani Shaikh among others.
