Christian Betzmann clarifies controversial remarks about Pakistan after Zoya Nasir split

German vlogger, Christian Betzmann recently came under fire after he shared his stance on Palestine issue and called Pakistan a ‘third world country’. His fiancée and actress, Zoya Nasir took to Instagram and announced their split over his offensive remarks.

The influencer has now explained his comments about Pakistan and Palestine in his latest social media post. Taking to Instagram, he clarified, “First of all this is not an apology. It’s funny how people twist things to get clout.”

He continued, “Pakistan has welcomed me with open arms and I am forever grateful to that. I love my fans and I love everyone who has been supporting me through the channel over the past year to show the good image of the country, and the fun side.”

He added, “I had to adapt to this culture and you will have to admit to mine; Honest and constructive criticism. Infrastructure wise this country is a third world country and it also suffers immensely from pollution (garbage).”

He further added, “These are facts, doesn’t mean I hate the country or its people. That’s a lie. I said purely because I care about Pakistan and really want to see a change one day. But order to see the positive change, we have to accept the mistakes and find a way to fix them. By ignoring the problems, we will never fix anything.”

Betzmann further explained that he has never insulted any religion and he supports Palestine. He stated, “Prayers and religion are beautiful but without actions, they won’t be as effective. Especially when there’s war. I always stand with Palestine and with my Muslims brothers and have never supported Israel in any way.”
