Sanjay Dutt is teary-eyed on his father's death anniversary.
Sunil Dutt, who stood strong behind the actor through all of his rough days, passed away in 2005 due to deteriorating coronary conditions.
Taking to his Instagram on Tuesday, Sanjay shared a monochrome photo with father while adding an emotional caption.
“A parent, an idol, a friend, a mentor - you were everything to me. Love you Dad, miss you”
Close friends and family were quick to comment on Sanjay's post.
"Miss you Dad!! Mahatma of his days !!. Wish he had few more years to make even more an impact on a common citizen that usually is overlooked!!" commented family friend Paresh Ghelani.
Sanjay's daughter Trishala Dutt also added a bunch of heart emoticons for her grandfather.
