Microsoft has officially announced Xbox Games Showcase livestream, which will include announcements related to upcoming games.

The Redmond, Washington-based company on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, revealed the next Xbox Games Showcase livestream to take place on June 8 at 1pm ET.

The event will include “a look at upcoming titles from across our first-party studios, in addition to incredible new titles from our third-party partners across the globe.”

To note, there will be a second stream focused entirely on The Outer Worlds 2, which is due to launch later this year.

The Outer Worlds is a role-playing game that allows players to explore a futuristic galaxy, make choices that impact the story, and interact with bizarre and fascinating characters.

In addition to The Outer Worlds sequel, the 2025 edition will likely include more about the next Call of Duty and other holiday games.

Additionally, the follow-up, developed by Obsidian Entertainment, looks to expand on everything that made the first one a fan favourite.

The Xbox Games Showcase is one of several events filling in the gap left by E3’s demise. It will be preceded by the Summer Game Fest on June 6.

Microsoft discloses the Xbox Games Showcase and The Outer Worlds 2 Direct will be online, which results there’s no theatre experience for fans and media this year.
