
Krafton, Inc. has rolled out update 35.1 for PUBG: Battlegrounds on PC, with the console version set to arrive on April 17.
The developer on Thursday, April 10, 2025, revealed that the latest update introduces a range of gameplay advancements focused on unifying the player experience, improving combat feel, and refining core mechanics across all maps.
PUBG: Battlegrounds Update 35.1 has changed gunplay mechanics with a new aim punch system, as this setup alters aim stability when players take hits, with the effect varying by weapon type.
On the gameplay side, items like the Zipline Gun, Stun Gun, and Emergency Cover Flare now appear across all maps.
PUBG: Battlegrounds Update 35.1 boosts Recall system
Krafton has expanded the Recall system to every PUBG: Battlegrounds map now, even Karakin and Paramo, allowing players to respawn with recall flights every two minutes and thirty seconds until Phase 5 begins.
Additionally, update 35.1 adds the Contender system, a new character upgrade option in the Workshop. Each contender has a unique outfit and appearance, with more features unlockable through upgrades.
Audio gets adjusted too, with firearm, vehicle, and plane sounds lowered to reduce ear strain. Erangel’s received new additions, like a Hall of Fame honoring the 2024 PUBG Global Championship winners, The Expendables.
It is worth noting that PUBG: Battlegrounds' Sanhok map receives a performance boost, smoothing out frame rate drops and stuttering problems.
