In a shocking new update, Prince Harry’s legal fight for safety has ended in a crushing defeat!
On Friday, May 2, BBC reported that the Duke of Sussex lost a legal war against the Home Office over the levels of security he and his family have been provided in the UK.
Nearly a month after the estranged Royal Prince visited his homeland for a two-day hearing of his appeal against High Court’s decision, the Court of Appeal finally announced its verdict on the case and dismissed Harry’s challenge.
Noting that even though Prince Harry’s arguments were “powerful and moving,” Judge Sir Geoffrey stated that he “could not say that the Duke’s sense of grievance translated into a legal argument for the challenge to Ravec’s decision.”
"The conclusion, in my judgement, with which my colleagues Lord Justice Bean and Lord Justice Edith agreed, was that the Duke of Sussex's appeal would be dismissed," he added.
With this verdict, Harry’s legal fight over UK security provisions, has finally come to an embarrassing end.

After stepping back from his royal duties back in 2020, Home Office downgraded Prince Harry’s tax-payer funded security, arguing that the public-funded security is only provided to working royals – an argument which was backed by High Court.
Later, the Duke of Sussex challenged High Court’s decision in the Court of Appeal, and during a two-day hearing in April 2025, his lawyer, Shaheed Fatima KC, argued that her client was “singled out for different, unjustified and inferior treatment” by the Home Office.
During the trial, Harry also expressed that due to security concerns, he and his wife, Meghan Markle do not feel safe enough to return to the United Kingdom with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
