President Donald Trump’s ally and CEO & co-founder of the Turning Point USA has been shot during his latest appearance.

On Wednesday, September 10, Al Jazeera reported that the 31-year-old American right-wing political activist was shot during his visit at a Utah college, where he addressed a large outdoor gathering.

Kirk’s non-profit, conservative youth organization Turning Point USA’s PR manager Aubrey Laitsch told, “We are confirming that he was shot and we are praying for Charlie.”

It was also reported that a suspect has already been taken in custody.

In a video that began making rounds on social media, the politician was seen delivering a speech to a large crowd when a horrifying gunshot was heard.

The clip showed Charlie Kirk briefly moving his hand to his neck as he collapsed from his chair, prompting the crowd to rush away.

“A shot was fired from a nearby building, and we have a suspect in custody,” a university spokesperson told Reuters in an email.

Moreover, while speaking to The Associate Press, a source shared that Kirk is in critical condition.

Taking to X, FBI Director Kash Patel stated, “We are closely monitoring reports of the tragic shooting involving Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Our thoughts are with Charlie, his loved ones, and everyone affected.”

Meanwhile, Charlie Kirk’s ally, Donald Trump, wrote on his Truth Social account, “We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!”

For the unversed, in 2016, Kirk began supporting Trump’s presidential campaign and served him as a personal aide during general election, which marked the beginning of their partnership.
