John Forté has passed away.
On Tuesday, January 13, PEOPLE reported that the Grammy-nominated musician was discovered dead in his home in Chilmark, a town on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts.
According to the outlet, the Chilmark police department reported that a neighbor found the musician alone on the kitchen floor and contacted authorities at 2:25 p.m. Monday.
By the time the officers arrived, they found him unresponsive and without a pulse, declaring the We Trying to Stay Alive musician dead at the location.
