Kelly Clarkson is giving fans an insight into her love life.

Speaking to audience at her Caesar’s Palace residency in Las Vegas on Friday, July 24, The Kelly Clarkson Show host made a rare comment about her personal life.

After nearly seven years of parting ways from her late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, who died of cancer in August 2025, the 44-year-old American singer happily admitted being single and said that she is thankful she does not have to deal with relationship drama in her home.

“People are like, ‘Oh, why are you single?’ And I'm like, ‘First of all, there are a lot of people out here making single look real good,” Clarkson said while on stage.

She continued, “And if you didn't really understand what I meant by that, it's like you see relationships and you're like, ‘I am so glad I'm going home alone. You know what’s not happening in my house? That s***."


The Because of You hitmaker noted that relationships can easily become routine and repetitive if couples do not make an effort to keep the romance and excitement alive.

“If you are in a relationship, the hardest part is just keeping that fire alive and still dating and like still making it feel magical and not monotonous,” she stated.

The Stronger singer’s romance with talent manager Brandon Blackstock began in February 2012, when he was married to another woman at the time.

On October 20, 2013, they tied the knot at Blackberry Farm in Walland, Tennessee.

The former couple, who shared two children, welcomed their first baby, a daughter on June 12, 2014, and second child, a son on April 12, 2016.

In June 2020, Kelly Clarkson filed for divorce from Blackstock citing irreconcilable differences. On August 7, 2025, the talent manager died of cancer.
