Mahesh Bhatt has shared his reaction to Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt revealing their daughter Raha’s face to the media on Christmas 2023.
During a conversation with Zoom, the director said that he was quite surprised of their decision, then appreciated both the parents for how they planned the reveal with grace.
“I think they must have felt that OK now. She’s one year, and it’s time for her to be introduced to the world at large, who was very curious to know what their baby looks like. And I think, they did it with tremendous grace,” Mahesh remarked.
By his account, Ranbir and Alia had called the media before presenting their daughter, so that she’s not “hounded” all of a sudden.
The proud grandfather added that the paparazzi behaved very decently this way, comparing them to the highly intrusive ones found in America.
As for Raha’s own reaction to her face revelation, he stated, “She came in like, oh, this is a familiar landscape. I think she carries in her genes.”
This was another instant of amazement for Mahesh because, in his experience, the previous generation was always scared of the camera.
