Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday might be coming together for Cocktail 2.
As per information obtained by News 18, the two are currently in talks for playing the two main female friends in the movie.
These speculations began when they were spotted leaving the building for Maddock Films’ office, which was the first instalment’s production house.
Released in 2012, Cocktail starred Sara’s father, Saif Ali Khan, as its male lead alongside actors Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty. This is also the reason why fans believe she is being considered for the second part.
Earlier, the young celebrity had shot for Love Aaj Kal 2 (2020), whose prequel Love Aaj Kal (2009) also starred her dad Saif.
While the first film had garnered much love, Love Aaj Kal 2 was bullied by fans and critics alike, owing to Kartik and Sara’s 'poor' acting skills.
According to the same informer, Ananya has been chosen as the other actor after she was recently invited as a guest along with Sara in Koffee With Karan’s season eight.
The two extensively talked about their friendship and discussed a shared desire of doing a movie together.
Nothing this, Maddock Films seemingly thought of fulfilling their wish. It is however to be noted that director Imtiaz Ali’s involvement hasn’t been confirmed.
