Baby John’s much-awaited announcement teaser has been released today, on February 5.
Initially named 'VD18,' it stars actors Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, and Wamiqa Gabbi under A. Kaleeswaran’s direction.
The latest video however has glimpses of Varun only, where he’s once again seen in his powerfully avenging persona from the 2015 neo-noir action flick, Badlapur.
This movie seems to be based on the same genre since its new poster also draws inspiration from noir superhero comic books.
As per the footage, one addition of interest to the audience will be the potential inclusion of classical Indian dances, especially Bharatanatyam, which was poorly attempted by Kangana Ranaut in her 2023 picture, Chandramukhi 2.
It will be exciting to see how Kaleeswaran uses the nine emotions from traditional performances in the storyline.
Another thing to watch out for is the production’s soundtrack.
The teaser promises it to contain explosive music, which is composed by Thaman S, who previously worked on Golmaal Again’s title track and the theme for Simmba.
Baby John is set to release on May 31. Although nothing has been revealed about its plot yet, fans expect it to be a Hindi remake of Atlee’s previous film, Theri.
