Imran Khan has reflected on his flops and why many such movies happen to be a part of his filmography.
In a recent chat with Vogue India, he said, “Luckily, I was working in an industry that had rewarded me financially, so by the time I was 30, I didn’t have to worry about money. At that point, it wasn’t my career because I wasn’t excited by it enough to want to work hard for it.”
During those days, the Luck star had just become a father to a baby girl named Imara, hence his focus was more toward being the finest version of a parent for his little one.
"When Katti Batti flopped, I wanted to understand some things, so I began working backwards. What had been the biggest hits of the last two or three years? What were the films that had brought my contemporaries success? Do I like those films?” he added.
The actor questioned himself whether he would do those movies had they been offered to him, and the answer was always negative.
It then became clear to him that he only loved doing the films that he had picked so carefully.
After Katti Batti’s release in 2015, Imran directed a short film called Mission Mars: Keep Walking India in 2018, then totally disappeared from the public eye until resurfacing on his Instagram in August last year.
He has since opened up about his continuous struggles with mental health and has promised followers a comeback on the big screen.
