Hema Malini has said that daughter Esha Deol will likely join politics.
Speaking to ABP News recently, the actress was asked whether she would like to see someone from her family meddle into diplomacy.
“If they want to,” Hema replied, “Esha is very much inclined for that. She likes to do it. So in the next few years, if she is interested, she will definitely join politics.”
The Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa lead recently announced separation from long-time husband Bharat Takhtani.
For now, it is expected that she will be busy with her children, and will be possibly moving on to politics later. But speculators also say that the star might make a comeback in Bollywood instead.
After her marriage, Esha had left acting as she devoted all of her time to family.
In contrast, Hema has been active in public affairs since over a decade now.
She’s currently representing BJP in the Mathura Lok Sabha and sometimes makes appearances in movies as well.
According to her, their family supports them unconditionally with whatever they choose to do.
