Rashmika Mandanna has revealed that she went through a near-death experience during a recent flight from Mumbai to Hyderabad.
On February 17, she posted a selfie with fellow actor Shraddha Das along with another picture, where both the stars had their feet pressed against a footboard.
“Just FYI, this is how we escaped death today,” its caption read.
As per Bollywood Hungama, the airplane boarded by Rashmika had to unexpectedly make an emergency landing because of technical glitches, triggering fears of severe turbulence for those present within the flight.
A spokesperson from Air Vistara was later observed confirming the incident through NDTV, “Shortly after take-off, a technical snag was detected on Vistara flight UK531 operating from Mumbai to Hyderabad on 17 February 2024.”
He added, “As a precautionary step, in accordance with the standard operating procedures, the pilots decided to turn-back and landed the flight safely at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International airport, Mumbai.”
The media portal additionally informed that the disruption occurred within thirty minutes of take-off, so the plane returned to the airport for safety of all passengers.
While fans were happy to see Rashmika arrive safely, they expressed sadness on her behalf for missing an important flight as she’s incredibly busy filming for four films simultaneously this year.
