Karan Johar has announced his next Dulhania love story venture.

On February 21, the Instagram profile for his production house, Dharma Movies, shared a small video snippet, which stated that an untitled romantic flick under the direction of ‘SK’ is coming soon.

It further asked followers to stay tuned for the cast revelation.

Taking the post to his stories, Karan wrote, “Time for some guesses?! Stay tuned... this is full of well... SUNSHINE!!!!”

Fans immediately started speculating that Shashank Khaitan is returning for the next instalment of his Dulhania series with Varun Dhawan, who is sometimes called ‘Sunshine Kid.’

One month back, Bollywood Hungama disclosed that the shoot schedule for Dulhania 3 will commence by the end of this year with makers welcoming a new face for the female lead.

A source stated, “David Dhawan's next film, produced by Ramesh Taurani, will go on floors in March. Once Varun wraps up shooting for his father, Dulhania kicks off by year-end.”

Around the same time, Zoom reported that Janhvi Kapoor has been put on payroll for the production since fans want to see her do another film picture with Varun after their 2023 romance drama, Bawaal.

Originally starring Alia Bhatt alongside the Main Tera Hero lead, the Dulhania franchise was launched in 2014 with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.

Its second part, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, came out in 2017. Since then, admirers have been waiting for the third chapter.
