Yami Gautam, who is currently in the limelight for her new film Article 370, released today, on February 23, 2024, explained her approach behind choosing films.
During an exclusive conversation with India Today, the Kaabil actress in response to a question about how she chooses certain projects, revealed, “It's mostly my gut and intuition. But sometimes, your voice gets drowned out by fear, suggesting you should pursue certain kinds of films, projects, music, or work with specific actors or stars."
She continued, "When surrounded by these voices, it's important to remember they're just perspectives. Whoever you meet will always have advice to give you."
Yami Gautam went on to explain, “I had to gather myself, go back to being me, the same person who started her career with a film like 'Vicky Donor'. If I had to tell you the log line for 'Vicky Donor', you would say, 'Please go home!' So, I had to back myself, be comfortable with my choices, and focus on what I want to be relevant.”
The Badlapur actress also reflected on her time in the Bollywood film industry, saying, “It has been a journey and that period is also very important in life to realise what not to do. To realise this is not who you are, it is very important and those are my experiences and that is my journey.”
Yami Gautam film Article 370 is based on the story of a young field agent, who was picked from the Prime Minister's office to carry a top-secret mission.
