Janhvi Kapoor is rolling on to stand-up comedy after having ushered in an acting career of five years.
In a teaser uploaded on Serum Institute of India’s Instagram profile, she greeted the audience, then immediately quipped, “With a first time performance, you have to be a little kind, which some of you weren’t with my debut film!”
Except two more glimpses of incomplete jokes, the video didn’t give away much about the budding star’s walk into the hilarious side.
It anyhow asked fans to stay alert for February 29 as the full video will be out that day with the title Leap, Laugh, & Learn.
Having spent five years in the Hindi film industry, Janhvi has done two comical films so far.
In 2022, producer Aanand L. Rai floated her solo black comedy, Good Luck Jerry, where her performance was termed “one-note” by various movie critics, failing to land the fun in lines.
This left Deepak Dobriyal, Neeraj Sood, and Sushant Singh’s side characters to do all of the heavy lifting.
Before this, in 2021, she starred in Roohi alongside Rajkummar Rao, where once again, her role wasn’t appreciated by the audience.
