Vikrant Massey has been honored a win in the Actor of the Year category at NDTV’s Indian of the Year ceremony held in New Delhi on Saturday, March 23.

This trophy was handed to the actor for his performance in the 2023 hit movie, 12th Fail, which is based on an IPS officer’s commitment to studying for passing a difficult test.

Former actress and India’s current Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani, was present on the occasion to present Vikrant with the medal.

Mentioning this, he recalled in his speech, “Life comes a full circle. I remember days when I was trying to make ends meet by working in television. One day, a boy came and told me that Smriti Ma'am wanted to meet.”

“She watched my shows and told me that I have the potential to do better. Later, I got an offer for a big show. Days after, I came to know she had recommended my name," the celebrity continued.

Vikrant then dedicated this moment to “honest and impartial officers,” concluding by adding that he’s happy to have expanded out to doing movies by taking a bigger risk.
