Nora Fatehi has recalled how her struggling days were made harsher by an agency when she relocated from Canada to start a career in Bollywood.

Sitting for an interview with Mashable India, she reminisced, “I came to India with only Rs 5,000 in my pocket. I didn’t even know what 1000 dollars was like.”

Calling the experience “traumatic,” the celebrity talked about splitting a flat situated in Mumbai with nine other girls, where rooms were additionally divided by three girls adjusting in one unit together.

She said, “I lived with nine psychopaths in a three BHK apartment where I shared the room with two other girls. During my stay there, I used to think, ‘What have I got myself into?’ I am still traumatized.”

Then, Nora went on to address how her unnamed agency would “exploit” newcomers by paying them in nibble bites, which further soured her already bitter experience.

“The agency would deduct a lot of money and pay me meagre salaries. I survived on one egg and bread. It was a rough time. I needed therapy. The struggle was really bad,” she lamented.

The dancer concluded by adding, “They would charge you a commission and deduct money for even breathing. Some of the agencies exploit you and there are no laws to protect you.”

While many fresh actors continue getting targeted by such organizations, she has broken out of this mental torture by becoming a popular face in India.
