Andhra Chief Minister injured in stone-throwing incident at roadshow: Details
Andhra Pradesh's chief minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, got injured during a roadshow in Vijayawada

Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, got injured during a roadshow in Vijayawada on Saturday. Some people threw stones during the roadshow, in which one of them hit the chief minister.

As reported by India Today, Jagan Mohan Reddy got a minor cut above his eye on the left side of his temple.

Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao, an MLA from the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) who was with the Chief Minister during the event, also sustained injuries.

Jagan Mohan Reddy got treated in a bus and then carried on with his roadshow named 'Memantha Siddham Bus Yatra'.

Chief minister office (CMO) said in a statement that, “the stone struck the CM while he was acknowledging the crowds as part of his bus tour at Vivekananda School Centre in Singh Nagar, Vijayawada”.

Leaders of the YSRCP said that members of the Telugu Desam Party were responsible for the attack.

After the incident occurred, numerous leaders in India voiced their apprehensions and worries regarding the situation.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his hopes for the Chief Minister's quick recovery in a post on his social media account X.
