Taylor Swift has taken the world of music by storm with the release of her highly-anticipated album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19, 2024.
Soon after the release of her most awaited album, TTDP, Swift’s fans, commonly known as swifties started dissecting each track, especially thanK you aIMee, which they believe is about singer’s old enemy, Kim Kardashian.
Taylor Swift in her album’s track thanK you aIMee, seemingly criticized Kim, as she was once dubbed “snake” and a “liar” because of the socialite and her then-husband Kanye West.
In her song thanK you aIMee fans notice that letters K, I and M have been capped up to spell out the name 'Kim' and the lyrics too hint at Taylor’s aftermath after her 2016’s feud with the SKIMS founder and the Donda rapper.
Taylor Swift in her song sings, "When I picture my hometown / There's a bronze spray-tanned statue of you / And a plaque underneath it / That threatens to push me down the stairs, at our school ...”
She goes on, “All that time you were throwin' punches, I was buildin' somethin' / And I can't forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed expletive you, Aimee" to the night sky, as the blood was gushin' / But I can't forget the way you made me heal."
She further sings, "And it wasn't a fair fight, or a clean kill / Each time that Aimee stomped across my gravе / And then she wrote hеadlines/ In the local paper, laughing at each baby step I'd take."
The eagle-eyed fans were too quick to decode the lyrics, coming to a conclusion that it is about Kim.
About Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Taylor Swift controversy:
Taylor and Kanye had a fall out when Kanye West released a song Famous in 2026, in which he included very explicit lyrics about the Cruel Summer singer.
The Praise God crooner at that time also claimed that he included the lyrics with Taylor’s approval but the Grammy-winner denied the claims.
Meanwhile, Kanye’s then-wife Kim also leaked an alleged phone call between Taylor and Kanye hinting that the Midnights songstress has given Kanye permission to release the song.
