King Charles sister-in-law Sarah Ferguson penned a sweet wish for the late Queen Elizabeth II on her 98th birthday, on April 21, 2024.
The Duchess of York turned to her Instagram account on Sunday to pen a heartfelt birthday note for her former husband Prince Andrew’s late mother.
Alongside a very adorable picture of her Majesty, Sara penned a caption that read, “Today we are remembering Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on what would have been her 97th birthday.”
She further extended gratitude to the queen, noting, “Thank you for all that you have taught us, for being a steadfast leader and dear friend. You are sorely missed.”
Shortly after the sweet wish was shared by Sarah, royal fans swamped the comments section with warm wishes, while correcting Sarah for mentioning the wrong date.
One user noted, “Your Highness it would have been her 98th birthday day.”
While another penned, “Your love and appreciation for Her late Majesty is so genuine and moving! Remembering her today with so much gratitude!”
For the unversed, the grandmother of Prince Harry and Prince William passed away in September 2022 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the age of 96.
