Prince Harry feels ‘betrayed’ as Prince William steals his role at big royal event

Prince Harry, who is still reeling with the pain he felt after his brother Prince William Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps faced another snub because of the Prince of Wales.

Harry and William’s relationship, which was already hanging by a thread is expected to have worsen as The Duke of the Sussex has faced another brutal blow by their mutual friend Hugh Grosvenor, ahead of his wedding.

The 7th Duke of Westminster has given William the role of an usher at his wedding, which has left Harry feeling “sidelined”

As reported by Express UK, a source has exclusively revealed that the duke, who turning down the invitation to Hugh’s wedding to Olivia Henson, happening in June to avoid any “awkward” encounter with his estranged brother, was actually “triggered” by William being the usher.

"William was asked to take up a leading role in the wedding and that’s what triggered Harry to decline an invitation. It was the final nail in the coffin,” revealed the insider.

They continued, "Harry was very close to Hugh growing up so everyone thought it would have been him taking up a leading role, not William."

Earlier this month, during Prince Harry’s vist to UK for the Invictus Games the royal expert Tom Quinn predicted that, "William will attend the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the seventh Duke of Westminster – he can hardly avoid it as Hugh is Prince George ’s godfather."

Quinn at that time also explained that, "Harry declined on the grounds that it would just be ‘too awkward’," adding, "But there are other reasons – Harry knows he can’t attend without Meghan and Meghan has absolutely insisted she won’t be there."
