Nicki Minaj arrested for drug case at Amsterdam airport

Nicki Minaj detained hours before concert

Nicki Minaj has been taken into custody at the Schiphol Airport located in Amsterdam, Netherlands, for possession of drugs.

As per information handed to BBC by local media reporters, she was arrested just hours before a concert scheduled for today, on May 25.

This news can be confirmed by the singer’s own Instagram account.

As a police officer said “you are under arrest,” she recorded it all on a camera, then floated the footage online.

Nicki Minaj was being asked to step off a car she had boarded because her luggage had to be taken out and checked thoroughly.

In the same video, the vocalist questioned why was it not done before.

To this, a representative replied that she had been filming the entire scenario previously, so a search was in fact carried, but it was hurried.

While multiple outlets have reported that her arrest is for a drug-related inquiry, Nicki Minaj has proposed another controversy.

She wrote, “They’ve been trying to stop me from coming to every show. They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they’re waiting on customs.”

“This is what it looks like when people are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they’ve done is illegal,” the artist added.
