Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr beat Al Ittihad in their final domestic game of the Saudi Premier League (SPL) on Monday, May 27.

According to Goal, Al Nassr star Ronaldo netted two goals, guiding his team to a 4-2 win over Al Ittihad in the match.


Portuguese star footballer brought his season tally to 35 and broke the all-time Saudi Pro League record for goals in a single season.

The 39-year-old player achieved this record in 31 matches. He also became the first-ever player to be the top goal scorer of four different leagues in four different countries.

Previously, Abderrazak Hamdalllah held this record and scored 34 goals for Al Nassr in the 2018-19 season.

Cristiano Ronaldo took to Instagram to celebrate his new record with a bold statement that read, “I don't follow the records, the records follow me.”
