Snoop Dogg hailed fellow rap icons Drake and Kendrick Lamar for elevating the standards of the rap industry through their competitive rivalry.
While conversing with Entertainment Tonight, the Sweat rapper opened up about the months-long rap beef between the list of singers.
He said, “Well, the only thing I want to say about that whole scenario is that I want to give both of them a shout-out for raising the bar as far as lyrics, as far as song-making and writing.”
Dogg added, “Because the writing has been upped since the confrontation or whatever you call it, whatever they went through.”
The Beautiful singer went on to say, ““Those are my nephews,” adding, “I'm not in the middle of it. I support both of them and that's personal business, not my business."
"As far as what they did for the industry and the rap game, they made you rap again," he told the outlet.
Dogg also shared, “You can't mumble your way and gimmick your way to a song no more, buddy,” adding, “So, thank y’all.”
Unlike to his recent claims, Snoop was already "in the middle of" Drake and Lamar's feud before his ET interview.
