Maura Tierney is all set to join the cast of Law & Order as a lieutenant in the upcoming season 24, premiering on NBC on October 3, 2024.
The Golden Globe winner is best known for portraying Helen Solloway in all five seasons of the Showtime Drama, The Affair, from 2014-2019.
Besides Law & Order and The Affair, Tierney also appeared in shows like NewsRadio, the 90s sitcom in which she played Lisa Miller in all five seasons.
She also starred as Abby Lockhart in Seasons 6 to 15 in the medical drama ER.
Tierney’s recent projects include 2021’s legal drama Your Honour in which she starred as Fiona McKee and in 2023 she appeared in A24’s film The Iron Claw as Doris Von Erich.

The cast of Law & Order also includes Mehcad Brooks, Hugh Dancy, Tony Goldwyn, Odelya Halevi and Reid Scott.
