Beyoncé has given her approval for Kamala Harris to use Freedom as an official campaign song.

As reported by Variety, the Single Ladies songstress hit from her 2016 Lemonade album played as the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, while she made her way inside her campaign headquarters on Monday night.

CNN subsequently revealed that, only hours before, Harris had obtained the CUFF IT singer's consent to use the song while campaigning.

The outlet’s report suggested that a source close to Harris disclosed that, “just hours before she walked out to the song,” Beyoncé’s camp offered Harris’ team approval to play Freedom not just Monday night but “throughout her presidential campaign.”

Although Beyoncé hasn't formally endorsed the vice president's elevation to the presidency of the United States, her mother Tina Knowles has already approved the usage of her daughter's song.

Notably, the conscious song Freedom which features a cameo by Kendrick Lamar, was never formally released as a single but gained more attention after George Floyd's death.

Furthermore, in 2020, the Halo crooner also endorsed the Biden-Harris ticket, posting on her Instagram to encourage her followers to vote.

Previouly, Kamala Harris, has been endorsed by President of USA Joe Bidden for the presidential election run 2024, after dropping out from the campaign.
