Queen Mary grazed to ground by old man on scooter

Queen Mary ‘almost cried’ from being knocked down

Queen Mary of Denmark was knocked down by an old man riding around on his electric scooter.

According to Sky News, the incident happened earlier this month in Nuuk, Greenland, where she was present for a meet-and-greet with some royal fans.

As King Fredrik’s wife was busy chatting with the crowd, an elderly man drove through them with his dark grey mobility vehicle throwing her to the ground.

Footage of this instance showed Queen Mary falling on the floor, then swiftly getting back up within seconds of the blow.

She was visibly left shaken since her eyes were filling with water as royal security guards jumped in for help.

In the background, witnesses could be heard gasping the moment Her Majesty was hit by that scooter, but it’s understood that she carried on with her public engagement.

As for the old man who had grazed Queen Mary to earth, he said in his defence, “I do not know what happened!”

One spectator present on site confirmed that King Fredrik’s spouse’s eyes were indeed tearing up.

Video shared by Danish news agency Ekstra Bladet captured the entire accident on camera that has been further affirmed by the Royal House itself.

The better news is that Queen Mary wasn’t injured.
