Queen Camilla extends 'warmest' wishes on Team GB's stellar performance

Team GB won gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics


Queen Camilla has congratulated every member of Team GB for winning gold medal at the Paris 2024 Games.

On Monday, her majesty extended “warmest” wishes to the British eventing riders Ros Canter, Laura Collett and Tom McEwen after they won team gold.

The British eventing riders had made UK the most-winning eventing nation in Olympic history.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the palace released a statement on Queen Camilla's behalf which reads, “My warmest congratulations to every member of Team GB for winning gold in the Team Eventing at the Paris2024 Games.”

“Your outstanding achievement is a testament to your dedication, professionalism and hours of hard work and you have made us all incredibly proud!,” the statement further read.

For the unversed, the British team is ahead of Germany and Australia with four medals.

The palace further said, “Well done to all of today’s winners!”

Furthermore, Queen and King Charles recently addressed the Southport stabbing incident.

The royal couple said in an official statement, “We send our most heartfelt condolences, prayers and deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of those who have so tragically lost their lives, and to all those affected by this truly appalling attack.”

Following the footsteps of the monarch, Prince William and Kate Middleton also extended heartfelt condolences to victim families.
