Sam Asghari has uncovered a surprising new passion after his high-profile divorce from Britney Spears
While conversing with US Weekly, the Hot Seat star during the promotion of his upcoming comedy, said he reveaked his ambition, “Just watching Simu, who plays my boss, just watching him play this bad guy [when] he’s such a nice person in real life, made me realize that these are the type of roles that I should be focusing more on as well,” adding, “I learned so much from Simu.”
Asghari plays Senior Agent Ash in the movie, a lackey to Liu’s Louis Lewis — Noel’s rival and the owner of the largest lottery protection agency in L.A. who is desperate to take Katie down.
Even though Asghari and Awkwafina compete against each other on film, he expressed his appreciation for both of his costars off-screen.
“Awkwafina is such a great comedian and her comedic timing is so on point — that is the reason she is who she is. … She was born for comedy,” Asghari gushed.
He added, “And John Cena, I’ve always been super impressed with the crossover from WWE to on screen acting. And I never knew how much of a professional he was. It was just such a fun experience to be part of this cast.”
To note, Jackpot is set to release in theaters on Thursday, August 15.
