Chicago Bears safety Johnathan Owens is missing from training camp this week, but he has a heartfelt reason for his absence.

Earlier this week, Owens arrived in Paris to witness Biles lead Team USA to gold in the women's gymnastics team final.

As per NBC Chicago, prior to his departure, Owens expressed his excitement and pride, stating, “It’s amazing. Words can’t even describe. I just think, how did I get so lucky? This is my wife, and I get to watch her.”

In addition to his support, Owens shared that he was “praying” for Biles to maintain focus during her performances.

The couple, who married in the spring of 2023, have faced public scrutiny over the past year due to comments made about their relationship.

On Thursday, Biles made history once again, becoming the oldest female gymnast to win an all-around Olympic gold medal at the age of 27.

This victory marks her second all-around gold and sixth Olympic gold overall.

Biles will also compete in the vault final on August 3, and the beam and floor exercise finals on August 5.
