King Charles makes drastic changes in Buckingham palace for safety amid cancer

Buckingham Palace shares video to showcase the changes amid King Charles' cancer treatment

King Charles has seemingly taken a huge safety major at Buckingham palace amid his cancer treatment.

The Royal Family has shared an important video on their social media account on Tuesday, to offer a look into the drastic change being made at the Royal estate as part of the Buckingham Palace Reserving Programme.

In a video message, giant folds of 25000 meters long electric cables, weighing nearly 68 tonnes could be seen being pulled into the basement of the palace to replace them with the old ones.

As explained in the reel, the purpose of changing the cables is to protect the palace from the risk of fire and make it fit for the future generations.

The video was accompanied by a caption which read, "The Reservicing Programme has been continuing work in the Basement of Buckingham Palace, replacing old electrical cabling with brand new cables under the floors and throughout the historic building"

"It is just one part of an extensive ten year programme to protect this globally iconic building from a devastating fire or flood," the caption added.

These changes are taking place amid King Charles cancer treatment, who was diagnosed with the disease in February this year.
