Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie just recreated a 70-years-old romantic royal photograph, showing that love and the British throne really stand the test of time!
The historical picture in questioned featured the late Queen Elizabeth with husband Prince Philip standing in the Maltese villa, where they stayed as a newlywed couple.
On Wednesday, October 8, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie were touring around the same site while discussing about the restoration work going on there.
Quickly, the two joined heads for reimaging that antique image, where a tall Prince Philip was busy gaping at his wife with hands folded to the back in a suit.
Queen Elizabeth, on the other hand, shyly looking ahead as she fiddled with her fingers in a floaty skirt paired with a jacket.
Now reproduced, the new shot showed a suit-tucked Prince Edward loving looking at Duchess Sophie, who stood striking a similar smile in a breezy belted skirt.
Per Hello Magazine, the Maltest villa has special memories in store for the royal family as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were stationed there when King Charles and Princess Anne were infants.
Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie are currently roaming about Malta to celebrate the country’s 60th independence.
