King Charles has expressed a tremendous deal of heartache after he was informed of Hungarian writer Lily Ebert’s death today, on October 9.
Giving a statement to console family and close friends through Instagram, he looked back at her triumphs while declaring that she will surely remain alive as a historical treasure.
Your Majesty said, “It was with the greatest sadness that I heard this morning the news of Lily Ebert’s death,”
“As a survivor of the unmentionable horrors of the Holocaust, I am so proud that she later found a home in Britain, where she continued to tell the world of the horrendous atrocities she had witnessed,” King Charles added.
He went on to highlight that Lily Ebert’s legacy will teach everyone to handle humans with care and empathy instead of greed or villainous intents.
Your Majesty mentioned that she will serve “as a permanent reminder for generations of the depths of depravity and evil to which humankind can fall, when reason, compassion and truth are abandoned.”
Although there are other Holocaust survivors treading this world to share the very same thing, King Charles noted that Lily Ebert will remain “an integral part of the fabric of” the United Kingdom.
