Diljit Dosanjh, who is currently busy with his Dil-Luminati World Tour in Europe, has paid a touching tribute to Ratan Tata.
Ratan, Tata Sons chairman and veteran industrialist, passed away on October 9, 2024. He will get a state funeral on Thursday.
The Sardaar Ji singer paused his concert in Germany and honoured the late Indian elite.
In a viral video from the show, Diljit said, "You all know Ratan Tata. He passed away and I pay tribute to him. I felt necessary to take his name today because all his life, he worked hard. However much I read or heard about him.”
He added, “I don't remember him speaking ill of anyone. He always worked hard, did good work, and helped people. Yahi zindagi hai (This is life). If we can learn something from his life, it is that we need to work hard, think good, help others. Bedaag apni life jee ke gaye woh (He lived his life without blemish).”
Tata will be cremated in the Worli area in central Mumbai, Maharashtra, later on October 10.
On the work front, Diljit is set to perform in a couple of Indian cities in December.
