Randy Moss, a former wide receiver of the Minnesota Vikings has publicly shared about his ongoing cancer treatment.
During his Instagram Live session, the 47-years-old shared that he recently had a six-hour surgery to remove a cancerous growth from his bile duct.
Moss said, “I didn't think I would ever be in a position like this, as healthy as I thought I was.”
He mentioned that, following the surgery, he would be receiving additional treatments, including radiation and chemotherapy as part of his ongoing cancer treatment.
Moss went on to share, "I am a cancer survivor. Some trying times, but we made it through. Yes, it's going to be a tough road with some chemo and radiation, but, like I said, man, I'm good."
“As soon as I get healthy [enough] to get back out with the guys, I will be on set. Hopefully I can be with you guys soon. My goal is to get back on television with my team,” he added.
Considering his health conditions, he now took a break from his role as an analyst on ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown on December 6, after cancer cells were discovered following a surgery in November, where a stent was placed in his liver.
Moss also played for the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, he was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2018.
