Abdullah Siddiqui has made it! Last month he was put on Forbes 30 under 30 list.
In a conversation with Spotify, Abdullah opened up about the inception of his musical journey and what inspired him to keep striving to become the very best.
“It started for me in my parents’ house, in front of a really old, super buggy computer,” he began talking about the beginning days when he discovered his passion for music.
“Some very rudimentary music software, and just pressing random buttons, trying to make it sound like music.”
The On Our Own singer talked about his musical inspirations zealously as he described his post-modern and diverse set of musical influences including Imogen Heap, James Blake, Sophie, Arca and Björk. He further added,
“Pretty much all pop music and a lot of the cookie-cutter teen pop music that I listened to growing up, that sort of informed me a lot.”
Abdullah’s style of music is definitely unique and special, which is why he has earned fame globally at twenty years of age. When asked about his style, he said: "Dextral”, and, "cinematic.” According to him, it’s "One of the two.”
In this candid conversation with Spotify, Abdullah divulged that he is planning to launch a new album by the end of 2021, while also focusing on many commercial ventures, which the fans are super excited for.
The emerging singer started making his own music at the age of 11 and was already releasing songs at 16. Abdullah has appeared in Nescafe Basement and has already collaborated with some of the big names in the music industry including Meesha Shafi, Shamoon Ismail, Aima Baig, and actor Fawad Khan.
