The first teaser for Awarapan 2 has finally arrived, bringing back Emraan Hashmi as Shivam nearly two decades after the original film.
Released on the original film's 19th anniversary, the first teaser promises an emotional continuation packed with even more action and drama.
The newly released teaser finds Shivam struggling to move on after Aaliyah's death, with Emraan Hashmi narrating the character's emotional journey through an introspective voiceover.
The teaser sets a sombre tone right from the start as Shivam reflects, “Kuch logon ki kahaniyan unki marzi se khatam nahi hoti. Unki kahani doosron ke liye likhi jaati hai (Some people's stories do not end on their own terms; their stories are written for others).”
The montage captures Shivam's grief through scenes at Aaliyah's grave, Disha Patani playing the harp, Shabana Azmi's watchful presence, and gritty fight sequences, culminating in his powerful line, “Dard se purana rishta hai mera (I have a long-standing relationship with pain).”
It concluded on a dramatic note with a bruised, bloody Shivam looking straight into the lens to say, “Is baar ya to ye awaarapan khatam hoga, ya main (This time, either this aimless wandering will end, or I will).”
The clip captures the franchise's trademark intensity, pairing its moody aesthetic with high-octane action.
