Sanjay Leela Bhansali is quickly moving forward in planning his next flick with stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal.
After shelving Salman Khan starrer InshAllah and Ranveer Singh’s feature Baiju Bawra, Bhansali has emerged with a fresh story in mind, centering on a timeless love story that blooms in the middle of an action-packed war.
Sources have told media that he’s currently compelled to make a classic romantic tale that will live forever in hearts and memories, such that it survives the test of time.
“Rarely are 4 of the top names from the fraternity excited by the same subject, and it has happened this time,” it was reported.
Among the trio, Ranbir remains a surprising choice since the actor once said that his experience with SLB during Saawariya was quite abusive, so he would prefer not working with the bigwig again.
In November 2024, the untitled movie will be moving to the filming stage. It’s expected to be a tribute to Raj Kapoor’s 1964 musical drama Sangam, which demonstrated an Indian Air Force personnel’s obsession for a childhood friend.
Interestingly, fellow director Sriram Raghavan is currently shooting Ekkis with Agastaya Nanda. This, too, is a war movie based on Indian officer Arun Khetarpal’s life.
