Kriti Sanon has revealed her reaction upon finding out that her character, Sifra, in the upcoming movie Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a robot.
In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, she recited word by word how the situation unfolded.
The actress said that during the script’s sit-down, she initially felt as if a “light film” was being recited, and they didn’t have any idea about what the plot revolves around.
Kriti then recalled thinking that the love story is great with an effortlessly sweet chemistry penned for the leads, but when they reached the part where it’s revealed that SIFRA is a robot, she 'covered her mouth' out of shock.
“I remember just not expecting anything and just laughing a lot. You know I was really laughing a lot. Towards the end I was in splits,” she said.
The Bachchhan Paandey star then immediately called Dinesh Vijan, founder of Maddock Films, and asked him to sign her for the romcom.
Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has been written and directed by duo Aradhana Sah and Amit Joshi under the banner of Jio Studios and Maddock Films. Releasing on February 9, it features Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon as its leads.
