Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh are reportedly the next two stars to enter YRF’s spy universe as Aditya Chopra locks The Railway Men’s director Shiv Rawail for its next instalment.
A Pinkvilla source who claims that the production will begin assembling in late 2024 stated, “TRM is among the most appreciated shows and Aditya thinks that Shiv has all the potential to drive the first female spy film of his ambitions.”
Before his successful OTT debut, Shiv closely worked with YRF as an assistant director for Befikre, Fan, and Dhoom 3, automatically giving him a big ticket to the production house’s action genre ideologies.
“It’s an ambitious film for all the stakeholders, so the makers will make it a theatrical attraction. There will be lots of surprises as the idea is to add new flavour to the already existing storyline,” the insider added.
Speculations about Alia Bhatt being taken on board have been circling around since before the release of Pathaan.
She and Sharvari are expected to be the first female Indian agents as actresses Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone, who joined the universe before them, were seen playing Pakistani agents in Tiger and Pathaan respectively.
