Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F’s upcoming movie, Sri, has been officially given a final release date by the producers.

As per information received by news portal ANI, filmmakers have decided not to prolong the theatrical debut further and have settled for May 17, 2024.

Earlier, the movie was expected to be in cinemas last year on September 15, then was postponed to May 10, 2024, and now have been finalized with a media announcement circulated by its creators.

Sri is a biographical production that will narrate the tough life of Srikanth Bolla. He was the first blind international student to be accepted by America’s Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

After graduating, he became an industrialist with multiple businesses to his name, eventually establishing Bollant Industries.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama in January, Alaya said, “It's just incredible what this man has done. His life story is so inspiring and so incredible. Just being able to be a part of a story like that is wonderful.”

Besides her and Rajkummar, the film additionally stars Jyotika and Sharad Kelkar under the director of Tushar Hiranandani, who was the writer behind F.A.L.T.U, Ek Villain, Dishoom, and various other famous productions.
