Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Akaay on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
The Band Baaja Baaraat actress announced the arrival of her son, Akaay sharing an official statement on her Instagram account on Tuesday.
“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay/अकाय & Vamika's little brother into this world!” wrote the wife of former captain of the Indian cricket team.
Anushka in her joint statement with Virat Kohli pleaded fans to respect couple’s privacy, “We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time. Love & Gratitude. Virat & Anushka”
Soon after the Virat and Anushka, who are already doting parents to their 3-year-old daughter Vamika, shared the news of Akaay's arrival, fans swamped the comments section with congratulations and best wishes.
One fan wrote, "Congratulations All our love and blessings."
While another penned, "Congratulations and a happy birthday to the little man."

Anushka and Virat tied the knot on December 11, 2017 in a dreamy wedding, and welcomed their daughter Vamika in 2021.
