Emma Stone added yet another feather to her cap after securing the Oscar Award for Poor Things on Sunday.
Stone in her acceptance speech jokingly blamed her La La Land costar Ryan Gosling for her wardrobe mishap, as he gave a stellar performance on Barbie track, I’m Just Ken.
“My dress is broken; I think it happened during ‘I’m just Ken,'” she said.
The Easy A actress also thanked the team of her film Poor Things, and gave a touching shout-out to her husband Dave McCary’s and daughter, Louise in her emotional speech.
"My voice is also a little gone — whatever," Stone added, "The other night, I was panicking, as you can kind of see, happens a lot. That maybe something like this could happen, and Yorgos said to me, 'Please take yourself out of it.' And he was right, because it's not about me.”
She praised the team of Poor Things, noting, “It's about a team that came together to make something greater than the sum of its parts. And that is the best part about making movies. It's all of us together."
"I am so deeply honored to share this with every cast member, with every crew member, with every single person who poured their love and their care and their brilliance into the making of this film," said the Crazy, Stupid, Love actress.
Emma Stone further expressed gratitude towards her family with teary eyes, “I really just want to thank my family — my mom, my brother Spencer, my dad, my husband Dave. I love you so much."
She gave a special tribute to her daughter noting, "And most importantly, my daughter, who’s going to be three in three days, who has turned our lives technicolor."
The 35-year-old added, “I love you bigger than the whole sky my girl, so thank you so much.”
To note, Poor Things also bagged the Oscars in three other categories, including best hair and makeup and best production design.
