Shilpa Rao has given an expert opinion on why the track Besharam Rang from Pathaan became such a humungous crowd-puller.
In a recent textual interview, Filmare asked her to share some personal views regarding the song’s giant success.
Taking the ball in her court of inspection, she replied, “I’m immensely grateful for the love it has received. I believe its popularity stems from the catchy tune and meaningful lyrics that convey a message of freedom, resonating with the listeners.”
“It resonated with people because it embodies the concept of unapologetically loving oneself in all its forms and colors. It encourages you to embrace every facet of your identity without inhibition,” the singer decoded.
Recording songs as a rare fireball vocalist in the Hindi film industry for almost two decades now, she has given numerous blockbusters before this as well.
Some of these were Saiyaan Re (Salaam-e-Ishq), Malang (Dhoom 3), Woh Ajnabee (The Train), Khuda Jaane (Bachna Ae Haseeno), and the Anjaana Anjaani title track.
But despite proving a masterful control over her voice, Shilpa remained quite overlooked as a musician until Besharam Rang happened.
Not only has her fan following boosted, she is also being handed major opportunities by the soundtrack composers of big-budget pictures.
