Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh’s behind-the-scenes photo from their upcoming flick, Sitaare Zameen Par, has struck fans by a lightning of fuzzy feeling.
The duo was seen laughing gorgeously on set as they were immersed in a happy moment together, where the Laal Singh Chaddha lead had perhaps cracked a joke.
This picture has made quite a few waves online as even Iranian media portals have shared it on their social platforms, showing an eagerness for the production’s release.
It marks these two stars joining hands for their first ever on-screen collaboration.
They are currently working under the direction of R.S. Prasanna, who is known for the 2017 romcom, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.
While Sitaara Zameen Par is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par, Aamir has chosen not to resume position as the director.
There have been changes both story and cast-wise as well.
Speaking at the press for Laapataa Ladies earlier this year, he said, “It is the next level of TZP. The theme is similar but it will leave you in laughter. We are looking at the same topic but with a different perspective.”
He also disclosed that the film is expected to come out by Christmas 2024
